How do I register my devices? Jiffypass Reader, Drivers License Scanner and/or Signature Pad?

*Device registration is only for v3 users*

These devices should have a yellow Identakid sticker with a serial number on the bottom. In your Client, click on the Help menu in the upper left corner, then click Add Device License. It will prompt you to enter that serial number and the device you’re registering. After entering that information click on Register. (This process does require an active internet connection.) You should get a message that the registration was successful.

What webcam works best with Identakid VM?

The Logitech C270 is the webcam of choice. We are a sole source provider of all equipment and supplies for our system and will troubleshoot devices as long as they are purchased through us. Other webcams may work but we do not support them.

What Drivers License Scanners are compatible with Identakid VM?

We offer two; an Ambir Feed Scanner (only compatible with v3) and a Motorola Optical Scanner. The Driver’s License Scanners must be purchased through us.

How do I install the DYMO printers?

Download and install the drivers from our website, then just plug in the printer, it should recognize and install automatically. Remember to take a look at the User Guide to set up your DYMO for printing within the Identakid software.

Cleaning the Dymo printer

To keep your LabelWriter printer working properly, you should clean it from time to time. Dusting the outside of the printer occasionally will help keep foreign matter from getting inside the printer. However, it is still a good idea to periodically perform some basic interior maintenance, such as cleaning the label path with the cleaning card. You can easily clean your LabelWriter printer using the following items:

• Lint-free cloth.
• Isopropyl alcohol, diluted dishwashing detergent, or diluted glass cleaner.
(Caution If you use glass cleaner, make sure it does not contain ammonia.)
• Small, soft brush, such as a toothbrush or child’s paint brush.
• LabelWriter cleaning card.

To clean the exterior of your printer and the label roll compartment:

1 Disconnect the power cord.
2 Use the lint-free cloth to wipe the exterior of the printer.
3 Remove dirt and smudges with one of the cleaning solutions mentioned above.
4 Open the top cover.
5 Use a small, soft brush or cotton swab to whisk away paper dust and other stray particles from the inside of the printer.
6 Remove the roll of labels and clean under the roll.
7 Reconnect the power cord.
8 If you have a LabelWriter cleaning card, follow the instructions printed on cleaning card packaging.
9 Reload the roll of labels and carefully close the top cover.

How do I install the Optical Drivers License Scanner?

The optical scanner is a Plug and Play device, meaning you don’t need any special drivers for it to operate properly, just plug it in and set it up within your Clients Default Settings. The Optical scanners will arrive already calibrated but may need another calibration in the future for various reasons. You can get that calibration sheet from here.

How do I install the JiffyPass Reader?

The Jiffy Pass reader is a Plug and Play device, just plug it in and set up your RFID Users.

How do I install the Signature Pad?

The signature pad doesn’t require special drivers but may require a program called “SigPlus”. You can get that download from http://www.sigpluspro.com/sigplus-index.html. The signature pad is only compatible with v3.

What is the warranty on your devices?

Every item has a standard warranty through ISA for a period of 30 days. All items are replaceable, after
troubleshooting with our technical team, within that time. For replacement items after the 30 day warranty
period, the warranty/replacement is handled by the manufacture. Please see the list of warranties below:
