Customizing your Check In Station
There are a few things you can do to customize the look of your check in station. Let’s take a look!
First, you will want to log into your check in station at
Click the menu bar in the upper left corner, then click Settings
Navigate to the very bottom of the Settings page and find the Page Layout option.
Here you can add a custom logo to your Home Page, customize the color scheme of the system and add a screensaver for times of inactivity.
Adding a Logo
To add your own logo click the Show Upload Image option.
Then click Browse.
This will open a folder on your local PC so you can navigate to your logo file. You can also type in a public image URL here if you don’t have a logo file on your computer.
Once you upload your file be sure to click Save at the bottom.
When you go back to your Home Page you should see your logo there!
If the image doesn’t look scaled correctly you may have to adjust the height and width of the image. You can do this in the same section of Page Layout.
Customize your Color Scheme
To customize the color scheme of your system, in Page Layout click the Show Layout Colors option.
This screen may look daunting at first but it is quite easy to use. Each option here changes the color of a specific part of the system.
To find a specific color click here or the link within the description to go to the page below.
This is a color picker tool. Don’t worry about everything you see here, we will just be selecting a color and copying a number. There are some common colors at the top that you can choose from or use the slider in the middle and to the left to find an exact color. Once you have the color you want, highlight and copy the HEX number as shown above. (Be sure to copy the # symbol as well.)
In this case we used #3F7FBF which is a blue color and applied it to the Header Background Color. Then simply paste that into the field you want to change the color of and click Test.
This will give you a preview of what it will look like. You can always click Default to revert to the original colors. Try experimenting with the various options and colors to find what suits you and your school best.
Important Note: You can also change the color of text so it’s important to choose colors that complement each other otherwise you could get text that is unreadable.
Adding a Screensaver
We have added a very simple screensaver that you can use during times of inactivity.
In Page Layout click Show Screensaver
Here are the options to configure a screensaver:
Text Message – This is a custom message that will appear when the screensaver is active
Font Size – The font size of the text
Text Color – Color of the text (Use the color picker tool from above)
Background Color – Color of the screensaver background
Maximum Idle Time – Time in minutes when screensaver will be activated
Once you configure the settings click Enable Screensaver to enable it. You can also click Test to test the screensaver.
