iOS/Android Barcode Scanning Apps (Web Client)
The iOS and Android barcode apps are designed to be used when you don’t have access to a physical license/barcode scanner. This is useful for users who are checking in remotely with their smartphone or tablet.
To navigate to the iOS/Android Barcode Scanner settings, first click on the 3 lines at the top left-hand corner of the check-in/out screen, then click on Settings. If you do not see Settings, you’ll need to click on Switch to Admin Mode and then log in with admin credentials. Once there, you should see Settings.
Within Settings, click on Devices at the top of the page. If you see your iOS/Android Barcode Scanner in this menu, you can select it from here. Otherwise, choose Add New Device
Click the download link on the config page (or below)to download the app from the app store. Once you have the app downloaded, be sure to open it, navigate to Settings, and make sure PDF417 is enabled. This is the type of barcode that driver’s Licenses have.
These barcode-scanning apps are not owned or maintained by CENTEGIX. If you prefer to use another app, as long as it supports PDF417, you can.
